You will perform various technical tasks involving analysis, modification of programming sequences, measurement of various parameters, and design of building control equipment.
More specifically:
- Check the operation of control, measurement, and teletransmission devices of the mechanical systems of buildings;
- Prepare sketches and preliminary estimates and submit recommendations to your supervisor aimed at improving the systems and processes in use;
- Program the automated systems of buildings and design the centralized building system (ventilation, heating, air conditioning);
- Consult and mandate external firms specialized in the field. Supervise, if applicable, mandates and work done by contractors or subcontractors;
- Inspect installations and ensure they are executed according to plans and specifications;
- As needed, provide technical support to electricians or other specialized employees when specific work requires your expertise;
- Guide, inform, and train specialized employees (mechanics, refrigeration technicians, pipefitters, electricians) on new technologies and work methods;
- Obtain from suppliers all necessary information for the selection of appropriate materials or parts.
- Education acquired through a college diploma (DEC) in industrial electronics technology;
- Have three (3) years of relevant experience in the role, as described in the summary above;
- Possess a Health and Safety on Construction Sites (SST) card;
- Hold a valid class 5 driver's license and have a vehicle.
